The Paranormal: Skeptics and Believers

Today’s Quote:

When convention and science offer us no answers, might we not finally turn to the fantastic as a plausibility
~Fox Mulder

SchattenspielThe REAL question isn’t have you ever had an experience that couldn’t be explained by logic, math, or science? The answer, if you are to be truthful in your heart of hearts, is that you have.

The REAL question is what did you do when you were confronted with that situation? Did you get curious? Did you wonder and want to learn more?

Or, did you decide such an event could not possibly have been real? Did you start explaining it away to yourself or others? Did you figure out how it could fit into your existing world view and, if it failed to fit, discard the experience altogether?

That’s the real difference between the “believer” and the “skeptic”. The believer get curious, explores, and seeks understanding without ruling out the possibilities. A skeptic tends to decide up front that something is not scientifically possible – or more accurately palatable – and rejects the experience.

Most believers aren’t fools eager to be duped. They’ve had an experience or experiences convention can’t explain. They’ve been brave enough to explore that experience and be open to wherever the truth leads.

As Carl Sagan once said, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.”

Keep your eyes on the skies!

I am the Founder of The Affirmation Spot, author of Annuanki Awakening, and co-founder of 6 Sense Media. My latest books are the Anunnaki Awakening: Revelation (Book 1 of a trilogy) and The Power to Be You: 417 Daily Thoughts and Affirmations for Empowerment. I have written prolifically on the topics of personal development and human potential for many years. By day, I write sales training for Fortune 100 company. I began studying affirmations and positive thinking after a life-threatening illness at 25. My thirst for self-improvement led him to read the writings of Joseph Campbell, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, and many other luminaries in the fields of mythology and motivation. Over time, I have melded these ideas into my own philosophy on self-development. I have written, recorded, and used affirmations and other tools throughout that time to improve my own life and I have a passion for helping other reach for their goals and dreams. Ray holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Secondary Education in Social Studies from University of Kansas. He lives in Spring Hill, Ks with his wife.
